Athletics

Welcome to Mark Kalbaugh, 2009-2010 Athletic Director.

We are a member of the Blue Water Parochial Athletic League, which includes Holy Cross  (Marine City),  Immaculate Conception (Anchorville), McCormick Academy/Trinity Lutheran (Port Huron), St. Augustine (Richmond), St. Peters Lutheran (Richmond) and St. Edwards on the Lake (Lakeport).  All games are officiated by paid, impartial referees. All students are encouraged to participate on a St. Mary’s School sports team.

St. Mary's Boosters is sponsored by the St. Mary's parents supportive of Spartan athletics. 

The Athletic Director, coaches and concession managers are typically parents, alumni or teachers.  The Athletic Director oversees all programs and is present at all home events.  Coaches manage practices, games and events of the teams.  Concession managers are responsible for concessions, gate admission and 50/50 raffles.  They also sponsor a one day/all game concession for flag football at East China field in turn with all other participating teams within the league.  Monies earned from concessions are used to purchase uniforms and equipment for all sport teams and support school activities.

Boosters is solely dependent upon parent support.  Parents of athletes are scheduled on a rotational basis to work concessions and/or gate for each sport.
