Music Groups

Chorister Choir-

Choristers is a children's choir open to all 2nd-4th graders. They rehearse after school on Wedndesdays, September through Easter, 3:30-4:30pm in the choir loft in church and assist at the 11:30am liturgies. During the year, the choristers learn beginning music theory, how to use their voice, and the rudiments of liturgy.

Chorister Bells-

Chorister Bells is a beginning hand bell group open to all 2nd-4th grade students. This group rehearses on Wednesdays, September through Easter, 4:30-5:00pm in the church choir loft. Students learn techniques in hand bell ringing and beginning music theory as well as assist at school and parish liturgies as scheduled.

Honors Choir-

Honors choir is open to all 5th-12th grade students. They rehearse after school on Thursdays, September through Easter, 3:30-4:30pm in the church choir loft and assist at the weekday school liturgies as well as 11:30am liturgies on the weekend. Honors choir also visits Medilodge of St. Clair in October and May. The group leads the singing for their monthly liturgy. This group offers many opportunities for cantors-in-training if they are interested.

Honors Bells-

Honors bells is an intermediate level bell group open to all 5th-12th grade students. They rehearse on Thursdays after school, September through Easter, 4:30-5:00pm, in the choir loft and assist throughout the Church year at school and weekend liturgies.

Adult Choir-

The adult choir is open to ninth grade students through adults with a desire to sing and help lead the assembly in sung prayer. This choir rehearses Wednesdays, September through May, 7:00-8:30pm, and on Sundays, 8:45-9:15am, in the choir loft and assist at the 9:30am liturgy as well as at special liturgies throughout the year.

Resurrection Choir-

This is a chorus open to all parishioners who wish to sing for funeral or memorial liturgies for those buried from St. Mary's community. This group lifts their voice in prayer and consolation for those who are unable in a time of loss. Rehearsals are one half hour before the liturgy begins.

Cantors-

Cantoring is a program for soloists to help lead the assembly and encourage active participation in sung prayer.Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30-7:00pm, in the choir loft.

Beginning Guitar-

This group is open to 5th through 12th grade students who are enrolled in Honors Choir/Bells. Rehearsals are on Saturdays 1:00-2:00pm as scheduled.

Jr/Sr High Instrumental Ensemble-

This group is open to 5th through 12th grade students who wish to offer their talent with instruments for the 11:30am liturgy. Rehearsals are as scheduled following the 11:30am liturgy..

Instrumentalists-

Any instrumentalist with a desire to participate in worship, please contact the music office.
