Music Notes
From American Public Media, Pipedreams is public radio's weekly
program dedicated to the artistry of the pipe organ. Host Michael
Barone's celebration of the "king of instruments" is heard

Cantors. The cantor
program is for soloists to help lead the assembly and encourage active
participation in sung prayer. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30-7:00PM,
in the choir loft.
Adult Choir. The adult choir
is open to 9th grade students-adults with a desire to sing and lead
the assembly in sung prayer. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7-8:30PM,
and Sundays, 8:45AM-9:15AM, in the choir loft. The choir assists
at the 9:30AM liturgy as well as special liturgies throughout the
year.
Honors Choir. This choir
is open to all 5-8th grade students. Rehearsals are Thursdays, 3:30-4:30PM,
in the choir loft. Assists at weekday school liturgies and 11:30AM
on Sundays.
Jr/Sr High Ensemble. This group is newly forming
and is open to all junior & senior high age students who like to
sing or play an instrument. This group will lead the assembly in
sung prayer once a month. Rehearsals re 2-3 times per month as scheduled.
Honors Bells. Honors bells is
an intermediate level bell group open to all 5-8th grade students.
Rehearsals are Thursdays, 4:30-5:00PM in the choir loft. Assist throughout
the Church year at scheduled liturgies.
Chorister Choir. Choristers is a children’s choir
open to all 2-4th grade students. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30PM,
in the choir loft and assist at school and 11:30AM Sunday liturgies
when scheduled. Study music theory and the Church year.
Chorister
Bells. Chorister Bells is a beginning hand chime group open
to all 2-4th graders. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 4:30-5:00PM, in the
choir loft. Students learn techniques in hand chime ringing and music
theory as well as assist at liturgies as scheduled.
Instrumentalists. Open
to any instrumentalist with a desire to participate in worship. Please
contact the music office.
Resurrection Choir. This chorus is open
to all parishioners who wish to sing for funeral or memorial liturgies
at St. Mary’s. Rehearsals are one half hour before the liturgy
begins. The pastoral musician is any individual called by their baptismal
promises to serve God and community with the gifts they have received
to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
