Christian Service Commission – The Christian
Service Commission exists as a model and resource to enable the entire
parish community to put the social teaching of the church into action
through educational and formational programs, as well as hands-on opportunities.
Bereavement Ministry – This ministry provides
support to the bereaved of the parish. Care Notes and letters are sent
out four times during the first year after a loss. They are also active
in supporting an annual educational grief seminar and assist with All
Soul’s Mass. This ministry is also available to the bereaved
family in any way needed during their journey. Contact Maureen

Health Care Cabinet/Health Ministry Team – This
ministry includes parishioners and healthcare professionals who volunteer
their time and talents for the holistic needs of the Parish, which
includes their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The team assists
the Parish Nurse by participating in scheduled blood pressure screening,
planning health related programs and providing educational and/or community
resources to parish members. You do not need to be in the health care
field to belong to this wonderful ministry. Contact: Maureen

Prayer Blanket Ministry – Parishioners make
lap blankets for people who are homebound, in nursing homes, and hospitals.
Blankets are prayerfully made. The blankets can be sewed, crocheted,
or knitted, size 3’x4’. Contact: Maureen Duncan,

School Health Care Team – The School Health
Care Team provides health related education, through programs, written
information and fun activities to promote health and healthy lifestyle.
Members do not physical, emotional, and spiritual health of our parish

Recovery Inc. – This is a weekly self-help
mental health support group that deals with stress, panic, anxiety,
depression, etc., all based on a nationally known program. The group
meets every Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the school library. Contact:

Blood Drives – This ministry supports the American
Red Cross professionals when the conduct their 2 blood drives at our

Blue Water Area Family and Friends of Incarcerated Loved Ones – This
is a monthly support/advocacy group for friends and family of those
in jail or prison opened to anyone in the area. This group meets on
the first Friday of the month at 7:00 pm in the St. Mary’s Community

Justice and Peace Committee – This is a group
of parishioners who pray together, who reflect on opportunities to
further peace and justice in their own lives, in the community and
in the world through our “Best Kept Secrets”, the Catholic
Social Teachings. The committee seeks to raise awareness of the needs
of the poor and vulnerable; to advocate for justice in societal structures
and peace in all relationships.

Funeral Luncheon Committee- This ministry provides
a meal to family and friends following a funeral in a comforting environment.

Right to Live- This committee will be part of a non-sectarian,
non-partisan organization of pro-life groups in the State of Michigan.
This committee is committed to articulating and protecting the right
to life of all human beings, born and unborn.

Ministry to the Sick and Shut-ins – This ministry
brings communion and fellowship to those in need who are home-bound,
in the hospital, or in nursing homes. Contact: Mary Paquette

Parish Receptions- This group helps to set-up, serve,
and clean up for a variety of parish functions. Contact: Mary

Office Help- Assistance with mailings, adding inserts
to bulletins, making phone calls and other necessary jobs in the office

Transportation Ministry- This ministry provides members
of our community a ride to Mass, doctor appointments, or any other
necessary engagements. Contact: Mary Paquette 329-2255
Help at Medilodge of St. Clair – Assist with
patients before and during Mass, assist with preparations throughout
Mass once a month. Contact Mary Paquette 329-2255
Our Lady’s Rosary Makers of St. Clair – This
group makes rosaries to send to missions throughout our country and
the world. They meet on the third Monday of the month at the Community

St. Vincent de Paul- This organization works with
the St. Clair Ecumenical Council in helping the persons in need around

Giving Tree- Christmas assistance is provided to
