Religious Education Grades 9 - 12
The journey continues.
After our young teens are Confirmed in the spring of their eighth grade year, we offer to them a high school religious education program to help with thier ongoing faith formation.
High school religious education meets on the third Sunday of every month, September through April. We gather in church at 6:00 for Sunday Liturgy, move to the Activities Room at 7:15 to introduce the topic, and break into small grade-level groups for discussion. The evening ends with pizza and fellowship at 8:30.
Discussion groups are structured by age/grade level with 10-15 teens led by an adult catechist. Each grade takes a turn leading and planning Liturgy.
Although high school religious education is facilitated through youth ministry, registration is handled through the Religious Education Office. We use the same registration form as our elementary RE giving our families a streamlined process for all their children. Tuition is $25 per student.
Our High School Religious Education program has wonderful, capable, Christ-filled catechists who love devoting their time to teens. We have an awesome pastor that celebrates Liturgy with us every month. Please speak to your teen about participating in this worthwhile program. Our team is looking forward to walking with them on their faith formation journey!
